The VetGun Kit Insecticide Delivery System offers a revolutionary approach to cattle parasite management by allowing producers to administer insecticide treatments without the need for chutes, corrals, or direct animal handling.

Using precision-engineered CO₂ power, the VetGun projects specially designed AiM™ VetCaps onto cattle from distances up to approximately 30 feet. Upon impact, the soft gelatin capsule bursts and releases its insecticide formulation onto the animal, functioning similarly to traditional pour-on treatments while dramatically reducing labor, handling stress, and disruption to the herd.

This innovative system helps support low-stress livestock management practices by allowing cattle to remain calm and continue normal feeding behavior during treatment. Many producers find the system particularly beneficial for pasture-based operations, large herds, and situations where conventional handling can be time-consuming or stressful.

The VetGun is compatible with two specialized VetCap insecticide options:

Compatible VetCap Treatments

AiM-L™ VetCap (Lambda-Cyhalothrin)

  • Pyrethroid-class insecticide
  • Helps control horn flies and lice on beef cattle
  • Available separately in 30-count and 150-count boxes

AiM-A™ VetCap (Abamectin)

  • Macrocyclic lactone-class insecticide
  • Helps control horn flies and lice on beef cattle
  • Supports rotational treatment programs to help manage insecticide resistance
  • Available separately in 30-count and 150-count boxes

Rotating between AiM-L™ and AiM-A™ treatments may help address horn fly resistance concerns, one of the most significant parasite management challenges facing cattle producers today.

Finally, a way to treat my cattle for flies without wrangling them into the chute every time. The no-chute design has saved me hours this season, and the application is much more precise than a pour-on.
